Night Guards

A night guard (occlusal splint) is an acrylic device often necessary in the treatment of cranio-mandibular dysfunction. Depending on how the teeth come together, it is placed either in the upper or lower jaw. You wear it while you are sleeping, to prevent you from having direct tooth-to-tooth contact and to relax the chewing muscles.

In more acute phases, a night guard made of rubber can be used.

At Stockholm Dental Clinic in Puerto Banus (close to Marbella), we make custom-fitted night guards.

Since you only get one set of adult teeth, all efforts should be made to protect them and therefore, your smile.
